10 Failed Pushes That Weren't WWE's Fault
5. Enzo Amore
WWE did their best to push Enzo Amore and his mile-wide personality, though backstage issues caught up with him - and them.
Enzo was quickly seen as a unique star after debuting on NXT with his partner Big Cass. His excellent mic work and fun presentation made him stand out, and he would eventually find great success on the main roster in the tag team division and a Cruiserweight Championship run.
Behind-the-scenes reports of an aggravating personality emerged during his main roster run, with stories stating he'd brought uninvited guests into the locker-room surfacing. In January 2018, Amore was kicked off a tour bus for an incident with Roman Reigns. Then, a few wakes later, WWE felt they had to cut Enzo lose for reportedly failing to disclose allegations of sexual assault made against him.
Though the case was eventually dismissed, you can hardly blame WWE for wanting to cut the guy loose, given his extra baggage. He shot himself in the foot thanks to his problematic personal life and attitude backstage, if he hadn't then he'd probably still have a great position in the company.
