3. Not Hiring A Couple Of Big Names

If Vince didn’t want to shell out millions of dollars to bring in all the top WCW talent, then he should have at least picked a couple. For the strong ties to the company, Sting and Ric Flair would have been excellent choices. More than any other wrestlers, they were the faces of the brand since it officially became known as World Championship Wrestling.

Sting may have cost a bit of money to bring in, but singles matches with The Rock, Steve Austin and The Undertaker would have paid for itself in no time. Flair couldn’t have been a huge investment, as stated in the last slide, he was free by the end of the angle anyway. They would have only had to buy out a few months on his Time Warner deal.

If nothing else, it seems like a good bet that a lot more WCW fans would have watched their company fight Vince’s had more of their heroes been involved.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
