Speaking of event names that happened multiple times in the same calendar year, here's No Mercy 1999. Following a UK-only special in May, the WWF decided they liked the 'No Mercy' title so much they'd do it twice, and produced another in the States come October. Right at the top of the card was Triple H vs. Steve Austin in an 'Anything Goes' match.

It's 100% overlooked.

Most of Triple H's exploits in the second half of 1999 generally are, for some reason. Most point to his titanic performances from 2000, but '99 is often left out like some unwanted period of the man's career. That's unforgivable, because he proved he had moved on from DX (albeit temporarily), taken a leg up from acting as a henchman for the Corporate Ministry and did it against the biggest draw of the Attitude era.

Forget the 'Six Pack Challenge' title win at Unforgiven the previous month. This must be considered Triple H's true arrival as a title contender for decades to come. Austin did everything in his power to elevate his peer. That shouldn't be forgotten either.
