10 Forgotten WWE Matches That Had To Follow Something Infamously Terrible

5. The Rock Vs Mankind Following Big Boss Man Feeding Pepper To Al Snow

Tag Team Champions The Rock & Sock Connection barely had time to show each other all that "mutual respect" Michael Cole kept talking about on SmackDown as they went for ball shots and the steel chairs in a match they were forced into under threat of suspension from heel authority Shane McMahon earlier in the show.

The winner was due to gain a shot at WWE Champion Triple H, but the ruse was revealed as McMahon, Hunter and Chyna all arrived after a few minutes to deck the pair of them and see the match thrown out completely.

Incidentally, all four would be at it later that night - Linda McMahon booked a tag match between the four for the night's main event in a tacit acknowledgement that WWE were running on empty, talent-wise. As was head writer Vince Russo, who was gone for WCW within weeks of this show and the DOG EATING SEGMENT it's otherwise remembered for.
