10 Former Stars WWE Should Re-Hire

7. Goldberg

Having spent such a long time away from wrestling before his partial return at a Legends of Wrestling show in 2015, it would be wasteful to bring Bill Goldberg back as a full-time worker in a prominent position.

Even with his status still in tact after a decade away from the game, there are few positives to signing any 49-year-old to a long-term contract.

The chance for Goldberg to return to WWE as Shane McMahon's mercenary has come and gone, but WWE could still do very good business in a similar short-term capacity.

Specifically with Goldberg and Ryback.

Ryback's career has been significantly harmed by the comparisons to Goldberg from fans, especially now that The Big Guy is sporting black trunks.

What better way for Ryback to shed himself of those comparisons by beating the man he is supposedly a 'cheap imitation' of?

WWE looks set in its beliefs Ryback can be a top talent despite the nonchalant response from fans. If the company is fully committed to the task, bringing in Goldberg to bolster Ryback's credentials would be a quick way to accomplish the goal.

Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
