If you don't remember Gunner Scott in WWE, odds are that you don't remember Frankie Kazarian's all-to-brief spell in the company, either. The former TNA standout signed with the company on February 25th, 2005 and after the standard stint in OVW made his main roster debut on July 6th. That the big debut happened on Velocity against longtime loser Nunzio suggests that WWE didn't have major plans for 'The Future'. He continued to wrestle on the weekend show, picking up victories against the likes of Paul London, Brian Kendrick and Scotty Too Hotty. Kazarian left the WWE on the 17th of August. He'd only been on television and on the road for a little over a month but in that time he had realised that WWE had no plans to revamp their cruiserweight division (as they had promised) or give him anything akin to a significant push. Other reports speculated that he left because he refused to cut his long hair when asked by management but the former sounds more believable. Post-WWE, Kaz went back to the indies and then became a major player in TNA, the highlight of his time there being his and Christopher Daniels' incredibly entertaining Bad Influence tag team.
