10 Former WWE Stars Who Should Return In 2018

It's time for WWE's ultimate outcast to come in from the cold.

CM Punk will likely fight for the UFC again, and he's probably happy continuing his MMA career, but his first contest was an embarrassing mess. There's nothing to suggest that he'll fare any better in a second, and many fans would love to see him return to his original calling.

Punk's comeback could do huge business for both WWE and their former 'Voice Of the Voiceless.' As divisive as he is, he's a massive name, and the circumstances of his first departure at boatloads of intrigue. Besides, when he eventually leaves the UFC and becomes a free agent, there's always a chance he could end up in NJPW or another direct WWE competitor. There's no way Vince McMahon wants that to happen, so he may as well bite the bullet.

A comeback isn't at all likely, as the two sides still loathe each other, and Punk was miserable by the end of his previous run. Regardless, him and WWE would be leaving a lot of money on the table if they don't eventually swallow their pride, so his return will never be completely out of the question.
