10 Future WWE Champions That Would Be A Sign Of The Apocalypse
4. Kane
Unlike everyone else on this list, Kane has actually been WWE Champion before -- albeit for one day, 17 years ago. Still, the Big Red Machine-turned-Corporate Monster seems an unlikely contender for a second run with the title.
Nevertheless, Kane's found himself in an enviable position lately -- while his size and his status as an Attitude Era superstar have always guaranteed him a spot near the top of the card, his recent role in The Authority has given him more screen time and prominence that he's had in years. At times, he's even played main foil to WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, the company baffling fans with its priorities and lack of programming acumen.
Still, Kane's days as a champion are over. He's nearly 50, he wrestles less and less often, and he's not particularly intimidating in his suit and tie. He can't be WWE Champion again.
Right?
