Disaster: WWE's Chronicle episode on Sasha Banks revealed a few mis-steps by the wrestling media about her WrestleMania 35 experience. She says she wasn't crying on the locker room floor, and produced a happy pic showing her beaming with pride at what her pals achieved in the show's main event as proof.

Still, this year's 'Mania was far from a cheerful one for Sasha. She also admitted to being at such a low mental ebb that she could barely even be bothered to stroll down the ramp for her Women's Tag Title match on the card. That tortuous mental experience told Banks she needed some time away.

For a while, it didn't look like she'd return.

How She Recovered: Whether by accident or design, Banks pretty much used the changing wrestling climate to her advantage. She must have known that rumours would strike up online about a possible jump to AEW or elsewhere, and Sasha didn't lift a finger to dispel the growing gossip.

By doing precisely nothing and letting the rumour mill swirl, she jump-started her own importance to WWE and secured a grand comeback program against Becky Lynch. Don't kid yourselves, that's very clever.
