4. D-Generation X
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNhe8ghamyE D-Generation X is the only stable in WWE history that has competed at SummerSlam on more one occasion. The first came at the 2006 installment when Triple H and Shawn Michaels faced off against the duo of Vince and Shane McMahon, and despite the McMahons' best efforts, they came up short of usurping DX. It'd be another three years before the black and green group graced the SummerSlam stage again. This would mark the first pay-per-view appearance for the team since early 2007, and they were looking to come back with a bang. Triple H spent the summer of 2009 trying to convince Michaels to come out of retirement and aid him in his war against The Legacy, and although HBK initially declined, he came around to accepting the offer eventually. Unlike their outing at SummerSlam 2006, their bout against Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase was taken seriously and was much more of an actual match than the the inference fest against the McMahons. The Legacy took the fight to the seasoned veterans and came close to securing victory on various occasions, but it was DX who reigned supreme in valiant fashion and proved they could still hang with the best of them. Did I mention DX came out in a tank? Yeah, that alone made their return all the more monumental.
