10 Greatest Returns In WWE SummerSlam History

5. Kevin Nash

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxMqu2upccw A stacked show from top to bottom, WWE SummerSlam 2011 is regarded as one of the best instalments in the event's history. The main event saw John Cena and CM Punk battling in a Money in the Bank rematch. Both men walked into the event as WWE Champion. With Triple H serving as the special guest referee, it was guaranteed that only one man would leave Los Angeles with the title in tow. Similar to their initial outing against each other, Punk and Cena contested a classic on that night, but it was Punk who had his hand raised in the end (despite Cena's foot being on the bottom rope). As The Voice of the Voiceless celebrated his grand championship victory, he was pummelled by one Kevin Nash, who had made a beeline toward the ring after jumping the barricade unbeknownst to the fans watching worldwide. Before Punk could protect himself from the surprise attack, Nash nailed him with a clothesline before laying him out with a brtual Jackknife Powerbomb, allowing Alberto Del Rio to cash in Money in the Bank and become champion. Nash's return, much like Mick Foley's at this year's installment, came completely out of left field. No one could have ever anticipated seeing Big Sexy making his long-awaited return to WWE at the biggest party of the summer. It's simply a shame the aftermath was as confusing and disappointing as it was. Nash texted himself? Who could have possibly thought that was a good idea?
