10 Greatest Tag Team Matches In WWE WrestleMania History
6. Cactus Jack & Chainsaw Charlie Vs. The New Age Outlaws (WrestleMania XIV)
If Ahmed Johnson's street fight laid a foundation, Mick Foley built a house (and I hear he has better rates than AJ Styles). The Hardcore Legend was still a few months removed from his iconic Hell in a Cell bout, and he needed something to sink his teeth into for WrestleMania season. Thankfully, the New Age Outlaws were the hot heel tag champions, and Mick's friend Terry Funk was roaming around WWE as Chainsaw Charlie.
Much like the year before, this "Dumpster Match" was an important step in giving the Attitude Era its distinct aesthetic and tone. Unlike the Street Fight, however, this match was carried by two hardcore legends who knew how to give this a sense of pacing and creativity that gave weight to this very silly stipulation.
It also doesn't hurt that Terry Funk is absolutely bonkers, and agreed to a spot that saw him operate a forklift to dump Billy Gunn and Road Dogg into a dumpster. Props to those toO as well, who benefitted greatly from this match, as they went on to become the premier tag team for the first half of the Attitude Era.
