6. AEW Women's Championship: Nyla Rose (c) vs. Hikaru Shida

Although it hasn't been building for long, this match has been brewing for ages.

Hikaru Shida emerged as AEW's top-ranked woman months ago. A 9-2 record in 2020 means she's lightyears ahead of Kris Statlander at number two (3-4) and third-ranked Britt Baker (4-4) and has been for a while, with only the global health crisis preventing her from scoring a Women's Championship shot sooner. Nyla Rose was absent from the March/April tapings. This left Shida's wheels spinning as she contended with the division's rank and file when she should have been hunting 'The Native Beast,' though she finally gets her match at Double Or Nothing.

Rose pinned Shida on the most recent episode of Dynamite and belted her with a kendo stick the week before, maintaining dominance ahead of the bout. She should retain here. While the booking pattern suggests a Shida victory, and the Japanese star is the most complete worker in the division, cutting Rose's reign off in only her second defence would be an aura-shattering mistake and another shot to her belt's credibility.

Winner: Nyla Rose.
