10 Huge AEW Double Or Nothing 2023 Predictions You Need To Know

9. Adam Cole Vs. Chris Jericho

Double Or Nothing Jeff Jarrett
AEW

The addition of Sabu as an enforcer for this Unsanctioned Match on the go-home Dynamite was the sort of earnestly bizarre cameo booking Tony Khan made a staple.

Cole tried gamely to make sense of a pre-existing relationship with the 'Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal' maniac, but he needn't have bothered. The point was made clear that if and when the Jericho Appreciation Society interfered, they'd eat a chair to the face or something even worse thanks to the ECW legend. It's not exactly a numbers game arrested, but it's one dealt with in order to let the action in the ring breathe.

And in the ring is probably where this one needs to stay. This storyline's been a quiet triumph, but it's had its share of bells and whistles attached. All weaponry - and the kendo stick is certain to feature - should be fought over between the ropes with Anarchy In The Arena and a Ladder Match elsewhere on the card, but there are fewer wrestlers as creative and resourceful as these two to ensure it delivers on the night.

Winner - Adam Cole
