10 Indy Wrestling Stars WWE Would Ruin

4. The Young Bucks

The Young Bucks have defined themselves as iconoclasts by virtue of thriving outside of WWE; the second they appear on RAW is the second the magic disappears. Several brilliant underground bands flourished on major labels, but then, major labels don't interfere and over-produce as heavily as WWE.

The Young Bucks are beloved because they are inventive, and this invention is often necessitated by the spectre of WWE. If they cease, desist, relent, and sign, there can be no more merchandise gimmickry - nor social media viral marketing. The "Suck it" catchphrase is also off the merch table.

The Young Bucks are beloved because their Superkick parties are a winking f*ck you to the accepted norms of mainstream wrestling. Road agents in WWE would pitch a fit at the suggestion of a sixteenth Superkick on a random episode of SmackDown. The Young Bucks are beloved because they proved that WWE isn't the only game in town. If they go, and don't upgrade the machine, it will spit them out. This defiance is crucial to their popularity. They could adapt. They are among the most intelligent acts on the scene today.

But you can't banish the cynical thought that WWE would relish putting these brats in their place.
