4. Goldberg To Compete?
On the more obscure end of the rumour spectrum is the one about Goldberg, an inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame last night, getting back in the ring one last time - in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, no less.
There's no denying this would generate an absolutely monstrous pop from the crowd. After Friday's ceremony, the guy is currently one of the most popular people in New Orleans, so much so that he could come out and Spear Daniel Bryan and still get cheered (maybe).
The logical side of your brain doubts whether it's really likely, though. Goldberg on the pre-show? When has that ever happened? Why would he even agree to it? He's been a headline act for pretty much the entirety of his career.
Since he'd absolutely have to win the thing if he entered, it'd also defeat the ostensible purpose of this match, which is supposed to be about elevating a young, or at least forgotten, member of the under-card to bold new heights (you know, like it did with Mojo Rawley and Baron Corbin).
