If you've gotta leave your wallet with a WWE superstar, try to avoid these guys.

They say professional wrestling is a cutthroat business, and whoever 'they' are (hey Abyss!) they aren't lying. From time immemorial wrestlers have lied and trample over whoever they could to get to the top. Seemingly indestructible friendships have been abandoned in favour of quick bucks, long-standing relationships destroyed for opportunity and possibility.

It takes a lot to trust in such a world. Some individuals made careers out of being far too trustworthy, whether it was Sting's continual trust of Lex Luger in WCW all the way through to Becky Lynch constantly being blind-sided by her fellow wrestlers in 2016. It takes a lot to trust another wrestler, and it is seemingly rarely worth the effort.

World Wrestling Entertainment has long been a breeding ground for the untrustworthy, and certain individuals have excelled at this. Whether it is by frequently shifting alignments or turning on each and every 'friend' they've had, these 10 men can be considered the least trustworthy superstars in WWE history.

A few notable names don't quite make the list. Chris Jericho is one, a man who has never been shy to turn to deceit to get a leg up. Speaking of a leg up, Edge doesn't quite make the list either, despite his famous indiscretions as the 'Ultimate Opportunist'.

Who does make the list though? Yes, of course Big Show is in there, and he's joined by nine more tyrants...

10. Jake 'The Snake' Roberts

I'll start with a guy who many might assume would sit higher on this list, but in actual fact proved to be a pretty decent partner throughout the majority of his WWF run. Even as a babyface, however, Jake 'The Snake' Roberts frequently alluded to the risks one takes in trusting a serpent.

When he finally did begin his spate of betrayal, it was the biggest names that found themselves targeted by The Snake. The Ultimate Warrior was first up. For whatever reason, the Warrior enlisted Jake's help when in fighting the dark forces of The Undertaker and Paul Bearer.

Jake put Warrior through a series of rigorous tests, the last of which saw Warrior walk through a room full of live snakes looking for 'the answer'. What he found of course was a king cobra, which bit the Warrior and completed the betrayal.

Jake's mantra from here on? 'Trust me...'. He later sent 'Macho Man' Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth a snake as a wedding present, which isn't exactly the present of choice for someone who would be described as being 'trustworthy'.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
