10 Legends WWE Dumped In Awful Feuds

1. Kane (Imposter Kane)

Premise: After filming the horror movie See No Evil, Kane began hearing voices telling him to beware the date 19 May (when the film was due to be released). Eventually, it was revealed that an imposter version of Kane, complete with original mask and outfit, was behind the voices. Kane wrestled his doppelgänger at Vengeance 2006 before stealing his mask back 24 hours later on Raw.

Why It Was Awful: The feud only lasted around a month, and nobody bought into the idea of Kane vs. Kane. It was too similar to 1994's The Undertaker vs. 'Underfaker' nonsense. Luke Gallows, who was beneath the old attire as 'Imposter Kane' was also visibly shorter than Glenn Jacobs, and their pay-per-view match was blighted by a slow pace fans in North Carolina booed.

WWE abandoned ship ASAP.

On Raw after Vengeance, Kane unmasked the imposter and left to promote See No Evil. Rumours at the time suggested WWE fancied the idea of having Gallows work the gimmick when Kane was absent from television, but those plans (if true) changed.
