10 Longest Gaps In WWE World Title Defenses

Title: WWE Universal Championship

Dates of Title Defenses: November 2, 2018 – January 27, 2019

Days Between Defenses: 87

Remember way back when Roman Reigns had to relinquish the WWE Universal Championship due to his leukemia returning? That led to a title match to fill the vacancy at Crown Jewel 2018, where Brock Lesnar beat Braun Strowman to win the championship.

Brock would wrestle later that month at Survivor Series in that bizarrely awesome champ versus champ match against Daniel Bryan, but then he’d disappear until Royal Rumble to face Finn Balor. And as mentioned earlier, he would go on to beat Balor and lose to Rumble winner Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 35.

So Brock would hold the Universal Championship for more than five months and defend it only twice. What a riveting reign for the Beast.
