10 Major Improvements WWE Must Make Before WrestleMania XL
9. More Long-Term Storytelling
WrestleMania 39 culminated in not one but three well-built grudge matches, with fans being taken on a hell of a journey throughout 2022 and 2023 when it came to both The Mysterio drama and Bloodline's attempts to keep from being split apart from the inside.
And what made these stories feel so unique and can't-miss was the fact that WWE actually seemingly had a plan for months heading into the biggest event of the year.
There were clearly a few other last-minute change-ups along the way elsewhere on the card, of course. But the absolute successes that were Rey-Rey teaching his son a Mania lesson and The Bloodline's double-main-event showing against KO & Zayn and Cody Rhodes proves that there is value in not tearing up every single damn plan the second a crazy billionaire has a change of heart.
The hope is that other stories further down the card will be given the sort of space to breathe and organically grow as Sami's rise and Dominik's Judgment turn in the coming year. In particular, a women's division is in need of some serious attention - but more on that later!
Sadly, though, if Vinnie Mac is back for good, you can all but guarantee it'll be back to relying on his Brock and making it up as he goes along for the foreseeable.
