10 Major Improvements WWE Must Make Before WrestleMania XL
4. Tag Team Championships Worth Fighting For
At WrestleMania 38, the SmackDown and Raw Tag Team Championships were both successfully defended in the average-to-good opening matches of Night 1 & 2.
Fast forward a year and both those belts were on the line in a match that simply HAD to main event one of the two L.A. nights. The job WWE have done in making those straps feel like the second-biggest prize in the company over the last year is nothing short of remarkable.
This now needs to act as the catalyst for a tag team revolution of sorts over the next 12-months. Instead of just having KO & Zayn float around Monday and Friday nights without a clear direction or rivalry to keep them occupied, fully commit to the super-over babyfaces and their belts being a big deal.
And the Mania Tag Team Showcase highlighted exactly how a few units are just waiting to be given some serious tag team storyline meat to sink their teeth into.
Sami & Kevin and The Usos have finally opened the door to the actual possibility of the tag division being given the main event spotlight it has been desiring for decades. It's now vitally important WWE don't just revert back to having the belts act as a weekly afterthought like they have been for much of their existence pre-Bloodline saga.
