10 Matches We NEED To See At WWE SummerSlam 2021

8. United States Title: Sheamus (c) Vs. Bronson Reed

A recent report from the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer stated that Karrion Kross and Bronson Reed could be called up to the main roster as soon as the post-SummerSlam Draft, but scrap that. Let's get big beefy Bronson up to Raw before then, inserting him as Sheamus' first United States Championship challenger.

Keep in mind that, while Ricochet, Humberto Carrillo, and Mansoor all answered 'The Celtic Warrior's' open challenges in the aftermath of WrestleMania, the title was never once on the line. To put that into perspective, Sheamus is - at the time of writing - two weeks away from reaching 100 days as champion without ever defending it.

He's surely going to defend the strap at SummerSlam, though. Bronson Reed seems a natural fit for the former WWE Champion's summertime rivalry, having just lost his NXT North American Championship last week to Isaiah 'Swerve' Scott. He's currently screaming main roster callup.

Just picture a mammoth showdown between Sheamus and Reed on a marquee stage; it's the sort of opportunity a guy like Bronson Reed - who seems a genuinely delightful guy to be around - is deserving of. Regardless of the outcome, this is the perfect US title match for 21 August.
