The other fascinating storyline for this weekend's Rumble, alongside the usual dangling carrot of the WrestleMania main event, is who will eliminate WWE Champion Brock Lesnar from the match?
The general consensus appears to be that it will be Cain Velasquez, Lesnar's arch-nemesis from his time in the UFC. Whilst a rubber match between the two former cage fighters would no doubt generate plenty of headlines for WWE, most fans would prefer Lesnar to put over a genuine WWE superstar like Drew McIntyre.
It's over ten years since Vince McMahon dubbed him the 'Chosen One', but it feels like finally that prophecy may be coming true. He has transformed in recent months and his new carefree attitude has earned him plenty of new fans. Just imagine what could happen if he is the one to eliminate Brock on Sunday via a Claymore Kick over the top rope.
Furthermore, Triple H recently added fuel to this fire when asked whether McIntyre could become WWE Champion, saying:-
