10 Most Ambitious WWE Shows Ever

WWE was very different back in the day.

With shows such as Superstars and Wrestling Challenge, the weekly television shows weren't much to write about. Sure, there'd be the occasional memorable angle or cool promo, but in general, it was mostly a sea of squash matches and hyping of house shows.

In 1993, it was decided a change was required. For their Monday night prime time slot, WWE decided to go live. From the Manhattan Center, Vince McMahon envisioned a series that was "uncut, uncooked, and uncensored," where anything could happen, and usually did. He envisioned Monday Night RAW.

The Monday Night RAW product has changed so much over its 25 years, but it cannot be understated how the vision of an episodic television show drastically altered the way WWE promoted its shows and told its stories. Once RAW debuted, there was no going back to the old way, and now, the show has become the primary source for WWE's most memorable moments.

You gotta hand it to Vince's RAW ambition (oh, that was just rubbish: apologies).
