10 Most Brutal WCW Matches Ever

2. War Games (Great American Bash 1987)

Dusty Rhodes, Nikita Koloff, The Road Warriors and Paul Ellering VS The Four Horsemen. Of course, Dusty and the Horsemen (especially Flair) had one of the more legendary feuds in history, so you know this is going to be heated. The fact that this was the first ever War Games only makes it more special, as the men involved had something to prove when they went out there. It seemed like everyone was bleeding profusely within moments of entering the match, and they all take advantage of it, opening wounds up even further. Guys like the Road Warriors and Lex Luger fit right in during matches like this. They didn't have to be the greatest technicians to have success in War Games. As long as you could fight, you'd be alright. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x23yh4o_the-super-powers-vs-the-four-horsemen-nwa-great-american-bash-1987-nwa-war-games-1-atlanta-ga-07-04_sport The end of the match is one of the most brutal beatings you'll ever see, with both Road Warriors trapping Dillon alone and destroying him for several minutes, hitting him with their finisher, the Doomsday Device (legitimately injuring him in the process), forcing him to quit. As intense a finish as you'll see, in as intense a match as you'll see. It set the tone for War Games matches for years to come.
