10. Triple H Guts It Out

That physical toughness helped Triple H through some serious muscle trauma in 2001.

Lord only knows the pain he must have been in when his quadriceps muscle tore itself free and curled like a broken rubber band up his leg. It would've been hellish, yet he somehow managed to fend off the agony and finish his match - Walls Of Jericho on an announce table-and-all - as scheduled.

Critics can say what they like about the man (and they do), but he showed serious mettle here. Most humans would've cried out in horror, crumpled to the arena floor and begged someone, anyone, to call for help. Not 'The Game'. He, crippling injury or not, was determined to see his gig through.

Fans were eventually so taken by his bravery that one of WWE's premier heels turned babyface. It was hard not to root for the guy as he worked relentlessly in rehab and spoke of his passion for wrestling. When he could easily have folded, Triple H showed true guts.
