10 Most Dangerous WWE Raw Spots In History

1. Kurt Angle Moonsault Off Top Of Cage (11 June 2001)

First of all, it needs to be said that this cage match between Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit was a damn clinic on weaving technical wrestling with dramatic storytelling. And it's a shame that WWE has all but erased matches featuring Benoit from their archives, because this match also contained the death-defying Kurt Angle moment. As he showed in this 2001 match on Raw, the dude wasn't afraid to throw caution to the wind on occasion.

Most impressive about this moonsault isn't how out of character it was, but how committed he was to flawlessly delivering it. Check out the obscene amount of hang-time. That's the exact opposite of what most daredevil types do when they come down off the top of the cage for an aerial maneuver. And yes, this match also features an incredibly dangerous diving headbutt from Benoit--also performed from the top of the cage--which had a whole other set of hazards attached to it. (Namely that whole leading with your head thing.)

But ultimately, Angle's moonsault took the crown that night because we'd never seen him attempt anything that high-risk before.
