There’s a difference between making fun of a heel and
attacking them personally. For several years, Vickie Guerrero was the most
hated character on WWE TV. Obviously, she was going to be the butt of jokes,
but they didn’t need to be about her butt.
Everyone from John Cena to Jerry Lawler made fat jokes about the middle-aged mother/widow. And some of these were made after she had lost weight! Being a performer isn’t something Vickie always wanted – it was a matter of circumstance after her husband Eddie passed away.
She wasn’t supposed
to look like all the other young, supermodel-type women on the roster. Even
though she has since stated that the jokes only bothered her to an extent, it
still set the wrong message for all the mothers out there with similar builds
