10 Most Frustrating Decisions WWE Have Made This Year (So Far)

On the subject of disappointing championship reigns...

Rikishi may have been too close to the subject, but he was right to blast WWE for showing a baffling lack of faith in Jey Uso as a champion (hell, even Kofi Kington managed to get past SummerSlam before getting screwed by the booking committee). After becoming arguably the most over wrestler on the roster, Jey's ultimate reward was a reign that lasted less than two months and saw him dropping the belt back to the guy he beat at WrestleMania.

Again, WWE's logic is hard to parse here. Yes, Jey's in-ring abilities aren't on the same level as the majority of his main event peers. But he's a fantastic promo, and Triple H actually defended Jey's rise to the top by stating his connection to the crowd superseded his relative lack of ability. Apparently, WWE's CEO changed his mind in the two months between making that argument and booking Jey to drop the title...

Given that Jey's connection with the audience remains as strong as ever, it's hard not to come to the conclusion that WWE demoted him solely due to a lack of faith in his wrestling abilities. Which is especially remarkable when you consider who's holding the other major men's championship belt...
