10 Most Poisonous Backstage Influences In WWE History
3. Hulk Hogan
Over the years, the list of apparent power moves backstage by Hulk Hogan makes for one very long read. After dropping the WWF Heavyweight Title to The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania VI, Hogan admits that he deliberately attempted to steal the man's spotlight by re-entering the ring. Hogging the limelight is something Bret Hart has blamed Hulk of, feeling he stole his thunder at WrestleMania IX 3 years later. Returning to the WWF, Hogan won the WWF Title from Yokozuna, just minutes after the big man had defeated Hart. Then, Hulk refused a program against Bret, supposedly feeling he was 'too small' to work against. After years of working in World Championship Wrestling, Hulkamania swept over the WWF once more in 2002, but the old tricks were still there. Somehow, Hulk moved himself into the title scene, actually winning the WWF Title at Backlash from Triple H. The reign was short-lived, but this displays the power and influence Hogan once had. As recent as SummerSlam 2005, he was refusing to put over Shawn Michaels, which angered HBK. Sadly for Michaels, that was a little ironic.
