10 Most Shocking WWE Raw Returns Ever

6. Bret Hart

Although Bret Hart's WWE return was advertised in advance, it simply must be included on this list of shocking unexpected returns. That's because until fans saw it with their own eyes, it was hard to believe that it really would happen. Bret had left WWE on outrageously bad terms in 1997, having signed with WCW, and then suffering the Vince McMahon screwjob on his way out of the door. His brother, Owen, died two years later in an accident at a WWF show. As a result of all of that, for over half a decade, Hart had only venom when it came to WWE and McMahon. But then things softened in 2005, when he and WWE collaborated on a DVD project. Still, he continued to spit blood about the screwjob, so when he actually walked out on Raw in 2010, it was like hell had frozen over. Long term fans were left shocked, seeing something they never expected to see, as Hart then called out and hugged Shawn Michaels.
