A month on from dropping his World Heavyweight Championship to Jeff Hardy at Night of Champions 2009, CM Punk wrested the strap back from the Charismatic Enigma in a cracking encounter at SummerSlam. Punk rubbed in his victory after the fact, smugly towering over his prone opponent.

Now: any WWE superstar with a shred of sense should know sudden electrical failures aren't usually a sign of ECW-style unpaid bills, but a prelude for the arrival of a certain Deadman. Not Mr. Brooks: he must have been watching Beware of Dog. When the arena lights returned with Punk unscathed, he let out a wry smile, and continued his peacocking.

Realisation soon rippled around the arena, until finally it dawned on Punk himself: Jeff had magically transformed into The Deadman. Only he was alive! And he had a chokehold in store for the Voice of the Voiceless' voicebox.
