10 Most Stacked Cards In UFC History

3. UFC 46 (2004)

Another card from the early Zuffa era makes its way onto our list now and with names like Vitor Belfort, Randy Couture, B.J. Penn and Matt Hughes all testing themselves inside the Octagon at UFC 46, it's little wonder this event made the cut.

All four of those superstars would turn up on this night's main card, but the prelims also hosted a fair share of familiar *rsekickers.

Matt Serra put away Jeff Curran, Josh Thomson secured a win over Hermes Franca and a young Georges St-Pierre also gained a victory in his debut fight for the company against Karo Parisyan.

Things were ramped up a notch once we finally made it to the main section of the evening as the debuting Renato Verissimo picked up a unanimous decision victory over Carlos Newton, and Frank Mir KO'd Wes Sims in the second round.

Ending the night with a ridiculous bang, UFC 46 concluded with two jaw-dropping title changes... for two very different reasons.

First up, B.J. Penn tapped out dominant Welterweight Champion Matt Hughes in the first round, thus winning the belt on his debut at the weight in the company.

Vitor Belfort then split Randy Couture's eye open with his glove in just 49 seconds, forcing a doctor's stoppage and therefore becoming the new UFC Light Heavyweight Champion.

It may not have been a typical ending, but the night still boasted a ridiculous amount of talent and more than qualified as yet another seriously stacked UFC event.
