10 Name-Drops You Never Thought WWE Would Allow (But They Somehow Did)

9. Paul Heyman Reminds The World That Brock Lesnar Has UFC Options

Never forget that even though Brock Lesnar is currently your reigning, defending, undisputed WWE Champion in 2019, he could still strap on some fingerless gloves and pulverise someone inside the Octagon in a heartbeat.

That sentiment was remarkably echoed by Paul Heyman some time before Lesnar first pulled double duty for WWE and UFC in 2016. This was also at a time when the mere mention of Dana White's company inside Vince McMahon's kingdom was deemed as blasphemy, so it understandably popped the Raw crowd in March 2015.

Lesnar found himself on a collision course with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 31 and 'The Beast Incarnate' and Heyman both felt as though WWE were planning to do everything in their power to get the WWE World Heavyweight Championship off of Lesnar.

In a typically irate rant describing how Lesnar would destroy anyone who dared to try and steal away his belt, Heyman eventually let slip that if Lesnar wanted to 'spend his summer unifying the WWE and the UFC titles, that's what he's going to do!'

In blatantly addressing the constant rumours surrounding Lesnar's potential departure from WWE, Heyman shattered the fourth wall and highlighted just how legit his star was in being one of the most dangerous and in demand men on the planet.

The mere mention of the UFC made Lesnar look like even more of a threat than he already was, so this Heyman riff - regardless of how it went down in the back - worked a treat in stacking the odds against a babyface Reigns and powerless Authority.
