10 Perfectly Over-Booked Wrestling Trainwrecks

Objectively terrible but subjectively incredible, TLC 2017's main event featured almost every dumb WWE trope imaginable, and that's why it ruled. Such bouts defy conventional analysis.

It started with Kurt Angle cosplaying The Shield, joining Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins with a big, goofy grin during their iconic entrance. From there, the match devolved into a ludicrously fun garbage brawl. The Raw GM largely operated in the background, but occasionally popped up to help his boys batter the heels with weapons, though he didn't take centre stage until after the wonderfully cheesy injury/comeback spot.

The match saw a 50-year-old Kane inexplicably dominate the competition, butt heads with Braun Strowman, then attempt to murder 'The Monster Among Men' inside a garbage truck (accompanied by studio sound effects). There was a "USA" chant for no apparent reason, the bad guys failing to drive Ambrose through a chair, and an 'overcoming the odds' story so garish and over-the-top that it was impossible not to laugh. What more could you possibly want?

Sure, The Shield would've likely had a "better" comeback match with Roman Reigns involved, but you'll remember this monstrosity a lot longer.
