Finally, this drama.

AJ Styles is one of the first names fans think of when somebody says "TNA". He became synonymous with the company immediately in 2002, and never looked back. By 2014 though, problems had long-since surfaced between wrestler and office. There was no going back there either.

Styles' last match came against Magnus on the 9 January episode of IMPACT Wrestling. That, like many bouts on this list, was taped on 5 December the prior year. TNA reported that AJ had left and become a free agent on 17 December, so he was already gone by the time the match aired.

There's another side to this story too. IMPACT chiefs reportedly offered Styles a 60% pay cut to stay, but he turned them down flat. It was insulting, and he knew that he could earn a good living outside the organisation, or maybe even potentially join WWE.

That's what happened.
