10 Precise WWE Moments Wrestlers Retired Iconic Moves

2. Randy Orton - The Punt

It maybe says something about the apparent lack of edge in WWE right now (pun very much intended) that there were genuine calls for Randy Orton to punt kick Beth Phoenix during the build up to this year's PerformanceCentreMania. He didn't, mercifully, and it's unlikely he ever will again in the future.

The move was, as I'm sure is fairly obvious, banned by WWE for a number of reasons. Vince really has a thing for moves that could be easily copied on the playground, and while it's difficult for 6-year-old Jimmy to hit his sister with a Canadian Destroyer, it's the work of moments to boot her in the head when she's picking up her Legos.

Orton himself confirmed back in 2012 that the move had been banned by the company. Simply saying...

He has bust it out once or twice since this tweet, with the last time being against The Big Show at Extreme Rules 2013, but beyond that it's been officially retired.
