10 Precise WWE Moments Wrestlers Retired Iconic Moves
10. The Undertaker - The Last Ride
Last Seen: vs. Roman Reigns - WrestleMania 33, 2017
Only as I type that out here do I realise that The Last Ride is a play on words with The Last Rite. Amazing.
Anyway, when he returned from his turn-o'-the-millenium absence in the WWF, Taker had himself a brand new image. Gone was the whole "hey, this man is a zombie" thing and in its place was "hey, this man rides a bike". He came screaming down to the ring, got involved in the main event, and Dead Man Inc was born.
However the problem he had was that a "tombstone" piledriver sounded a lot more at home in a graveyard than it did a bike shop, so he started utilising a lift-up powerbomb that he dubbed "the last ride". Swapping freely between the two gimmicks just made it an established part of his arsenal, but after age took its toll on his arms it became an infrequent sight.
The final straw came at WrestleMania 33 where, barely able to stand, 'Taker tried to get Roman Reigns up for it. He struggled, badly, and the move looked like a shadow of its former self.
