Since 2009, when WWE's sudden love of themed PPVs really took hold, Hell in a Cell matches have felt more like rudimentary exercises than meaningful feud-enders. Sure, the odd Cell match may pop up elsewhere in extreme cases - such as Triple H vs. Undertaker at WrestleMania 28 - but by and large, they only take place when the calendar calls for it.
