10 Problems WWE MUST Solve In The 2019 Draft

3. Star Power On SmackDown

SmackDown's impending move to Fox has brought suggestions that the Friday night show may eventually replace Raw as WWE's flagship. The show is moving to a bigger network, after all, so it stands to reason that the long-held "B-show" tag may finally be shed, though Vince McMahon isn't exactly going to abandon Raw.

If this is the case and WWE do plan on finally presenting SD in a more favourable light, they need to up the show's star power. Roman Reigns isn't enough. Yes, Team Blue also boast the likes of Charlotte Flair, Daniel Bryan, and Kofi Kingston, but these names aren't on the same level as Raw's most prestigious wrestlers, meaning the red brand will likely need to shed a couple of crown jewels come 11 October.

Moving both Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar to SmackDown would be a bold move, but one befitting the supposed real-sport feel Fox reportedly want the show to take on. The former UFC stars are two of the last proven needle-movers left in the game. Raw would feel their absences, but SmackDown would benefit immensely.
