10 Quick WWE Fixes To Save Randy Orton

1. Subverting The Past

Since 2002, Orton has evolved from blue chipper upstart to Evolution underling to youngest World champion in WWE history to Legend Killer to Viper to...nothing appreciably different this decade.

The Viper is more Old Snake these days. He's still pounding the mat with his fists, still hearing voices in his head, still taking his time to perfect the art of doing as little as possible for the first ten minutes of any major match. Even a rebrand as simple as 'The Legend' would give him something new to sink his fangs into and allow his career to come first circle. 'The Legend' would be entitled, overbearing, a prestigious scalp for a new 'Legend Killer' to take. The video packages, showing Orton spitting in Harley Race's face and treating an upstart like Chad Gable with the same disrespect, as a montage of his umpteen title wins plays between them, edit themselves.

This way, WWE could revel in and embellish Orton's history, hanging a lampshade over the fact that, yes, Orton has been around for an absolute eternity.

That's one suggestion. Something, as already mentioned, needs to be done. A feud with Rusev is not the answer.
