It seems like we are treated to a return from at least one major name every year. Bret Hart started the trend in 2010 with his long awaited comeback followed by The Rock, Brock Lesnar, Rob Van Dam, Batista, and The Dudley Boyz. This year has been no exception with Shane McMahon making his shocking return on the February 22 edition of Raw.

Following his legitimate departure from the organization in 2009, fans knew it was more a matter of when and not if he would be back. He is a McMahon after all. He couldn't have returned at a better time with the demise of The Authority looming large on the road to WrestleMania 32, confronting his sister Stephanie and his father Vince.

The reaction he received when his iconic music hit was thunderous and among the biggest crowd pops in recent years. The best part about it was how it wasn't predictable in the slightest. No one had any inkling he was coming back, which always makes for the best returns. He has certainly breathed new life into the program with his presence on the flagship show as its co-general manager alongside Stephanie.

Whatever you do, WWE, don't turn him heel and reform The Authority. You have a good thing going right now. Don't screw it up.
