10 Reasons Why 2022 Is Already Wrestling's Most Insane Year EVER
5. Ronda Rousey’s Return And Rants
Ask Ronda Rousey for her opinion on wrestling fans and ready the bleep censors, because the ex-MMA fighter-turned-WWE-star isn't shy about letting people know exactly what she thinks about industry hardcores. Summing it up, she can't stand them.
Rousey couldn't stay away from the wrestling bubble though. Specifically, she couldn't stay away from WWE life. A return was probably always gonna happen, but not many had it down for this year's Rumble-WrestleMania 38 stretch until late on. Ronda bursting back onto the scene, winning the 30-woman match and then sh*tting on wrestling fans again was peak 2022.
Recent outbursts probs won't be the last time Rousey dumps on the biz's followers either. She's still bitter about those boos back at Survivor Series 2018, and has a bit of a love/hate relationship with wrestling going on inside her own head. That's why her return felt a bit premature.
It might've been wise for Ronda to be at peace with the fact that, y'know, she might get booed every now and then first.
