10 Recent Wrestling Moments That Pissed Off Wrestlers
5. MJF Takes Aim At CM Punk After Dynamite
Returning to one of the biggest pieces of drama 2022 had to offer, CM Punk's post All Out press conference eruption would ultimately change the landscape of AEW going forward.
And the now-reigning AEW World Champion clearly hadn't forgot about Punk's calling out of The Elite, Hangman Page, and Colt Cabana on the same night of his long-awaited return to the promotion, with MJF taking a subtle shot at his one-time rival in an off-air promo after the Full Gear go-home edition of Dynamite on November 16.
As The Salt of the Earth took a moment to uncharacteristically praise his boss Tony Khan opposite him in the squared-circle, his attention soon turned towards the "bullsh*t" that had gone down in the company lately. And on the back of reminding folks that wrestlers risk their lives for their entertainment and don't take that stuff lightly, Maxwell defiantly claimed "and what I damn sure don't take lightly is somebody coming into my company, dropping their trousers, and taking a dump. That sh*t ain't happening no more."
With much of said Punk/Brawl Out drama overshadowing the current AEW World Champion's high-profile comeback on that very evening, it appears The Devil is still less than impressed by his Revolution sparring partner's actions on September 4.
