Ready for a non-Rumble match stat that could be broken on the next pay-per-view?

Bill Goldberg is slated to challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Title on the 2021 card. If he wins on 31 January, then he'll become the oldest WWE Champion in history. Goldberg's 54 years and 34 days (by that point) would beat Vince McMahon's 54 years and 21 days back in 1999.

That's incredible to think about, especially because it seemed like Hulk Hogan was older than Goldberg is now when he bagged the belt again in 2002. That's not the case though. Hogan's was 48 when he did that, meaning his old WCW conquerer would become a record-breaker should WWE do the unthinkable and book him to end McIntyre's second reign.

Of course, WWE shouldn't put the top prize on Goldberg in 2021, but they might not be able to resist some history. Or, perhaps Vinnie Mac will decide that he should be the oldest WWE Champion forever more.
