6. Kevin Owens

While Kevin Owens is currently out injured -- and will most likely be gone through the remainder of this year -- an attack on Rey Mysterio upon his return would immediately place the former Universal Champion back into a high-profile position.

While Owens has proven himself to be one of WWE’s most compelling stars and most virulent bad guys, he’s often been cast aside in favor of other competitors. Even as Universal Champion, KO seemed to flounder a bit -- not by his own doing, but because his reign was never treated with the sincerity it should have been granted.

Despite his unfavorable attitude and willingness to do anything en route to victory, Owens does not typically back down from a straight fight with anyone. An honest bout with Rey -- or as honest as KO is capable of -- would represent a natural pairing of foes. Owens is a loudmouth, brutish, and more physically imposing competitor in stark contrast to Rey’s heroic characterization. A true battle of good vs. evil, Rey Mysterio and Kevin Owens would have the potential to steal the show at any point in time.
