10 Roster Moves WWE Must Make After SummerSlam 2017

6. Emma To SmackDown

Emma has lost her way in 2017. The 'Emmalina' gimmick's abandonment left her with little to do on Raw, but just when it looked like she was being slotted into a potential feud with Dana Brooke, injury struck. The Australian was off television for six weeks, returning in mid-June to find that the storyline had seemingly been scrapped, and that she'd been shunted back to the division's periphary.

The past few years haven't been kind to Emma, but it looks increasingly like she won't be allowed to succeed on Raw. Last week's show saw her squashed by Nia Jax as punishment for threatening to date the General Manager's son. She has since spawned the #GiveEmmaAChance campaign on Twitter, but given her recent history, it seems unlikely that this will result in a larger push.

Sending her to SmackDown should benefit both parties by providing the blue brand with another capable, charismatic worker, and giving Emma the opportunity of a fresh start. She's probably never going to reach the level of a Sasha Banks or Becky Lynch, but her NXT work shows she's a lot better than her current push, and she deserves the opportunity to show that.
