10 Shocks WWE Could Pull At WrestleMania 34

7. Charlotte Breaks Asuka's Streak

The match between Charlotte and Asuka presents an opportunity for WWE to indulge in its favourite pastime: a genuine "first time ever" classic of a Women's singles match.

Wendi Richter Vs. Leilani Kai, at WrestleMania I, was about as good as everything else on the card. So abysmal, then. The Fabulous Moolah Vs. Velvet McIntyre one year later was, at least, short. Ditto WrestleMania X's Alundra Blayze Vs. Leilani Kai, who incidentally, boasts two more 'Mania singles matches than Dolph Ziggler. Through the Attitude Era, Sable Vs. Tori was putrid, but they at least operated under the pretence of a wrestling match, unlike Terri Runnels and The Kat's 'Catfight'. The match between Trish Stratus and Mickie James was good for its time, botch excepted - far superior than the token march promoted one year later, which was an excuse for Kevin Dunn to go upskirt-shot batsh*t at the expense of poor Ashley Massaro.

Afforded a respectable allocation, Asuka and Charlotte possesses genuine show-stealing potential - but is there potential for Asuka's streak to end? It's too soon into her main roster stint, and betrays the dramatic heft of her Royal Rumble victory.

It's something Vince Russo would do, and thus a terrible idea.

Probability Percentage: 5%
