10 Signs CM Punk Is Obsessed With Money

6. Unhappy With WrestleMaina XXIX Pay-off

WWE paid The Rock, John Cena, Triple H, Brock Lesnar and Punk's opponent, TheUndertaker more for their showings at last year's WrestleMania. Punk stole the show that night and was working every night of the week, but was paid less than the other talents who weren't working as hard or as often. There is no doubt it must be so frustrating not getting paid as much as part-time talents do but that's the nature of the beast. These superstars have developed their own reputations that are deserved of such vast amounts of money. Punk needs to do this more on the WWE stage. WrestleMania 29 was less than two years after the 'Summer of Punk', surely he needed more time at the very top of the card. On the flip side, if you believe you are the best at what you do, you deserve to be paid as much, if not more than the other players on the team. When the pay cheques start becoming less and less, you know you are allowing himself to be taken advantage of. The injury and creative situation suggests Punk wasn't far off this becoming a reality, however there is no doubt the lack of a monumental pay day hurt him more than the Staphylococcal infections he suffered from.
