Staying on the supernatural for a moment, Finn Balor would be another dream opponent for Sting from a character point of view. Sure, Balor's demon only comes out on special occasions, but a marquee match-up against one of the biggest names in the history of wrestling is surely one? If its needed to beat The Ascension in a tag match, it is surely needed against Sting. This, more so than most matches on the list, would also have the potential to be an in-ring classic. Whilst Sting's run in TNA is largely forgettable, he did get to go up against a number of young talents and assist with their continuing development. AJ Styles, Magnus, ECIII, Eric Young and more got to try out their skills against The Icon, and WWE is currently populated with a host of stars hungry to make a name for themselves too. Finally, at this stage in his career Sting needs an opponent who will bump well and hold up most of the fort when it comes to energy. Finn Balor ticks all of these boxes.
